Arsenal fans Piers Morgan was forced to help conduct the draw for the Carabao Cup semi-finals wearing a shirt of the Gunners fierce rivals Tottenham. The broadcaster was forced into the kit after losing a bet with former Spurs striker Peter Crouch, who was alongside Morgan for the draw.
Morgan had bet that Arsenal would win the North London derby semi-final against their fierce rivals at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, but Spurs ran out 2-0 winners.Son Heung-min broke away to give Mauricio Pochettino's side the lead in the opening period, with Dele Alli latching onto Harry Kane's superb through ball to double the lead with a delightful finish in the second half.
Spurs joined Manchester City, Chelsea and Championship side Burton Albion in the draw for the last four of the competition After Alli's second goal made it clear that he was likely to have to wear the shirt, Morgan tweeted:"I’m 14 minutes away from Do something, Arsenal - for f**k’s sake." But they failed to, with Morgan then tweeting:"I don’t know what Hell looks like but I’m fairly sure it’s about to unfurl on Sky Sports,I thought that after the Premier League thrashing we gave them here (the 4-2 win on December 2) it would be a complete walkover, but we didn't turn up",said Morgan."And when you have to do this afterwards it's about as sickening as it can get, so I just want to get on with this"
Morgan and Crouch drew Tottenham out with Chelsea for the two-legged semi-final in January, with Manchester City taking on Burton Albion.
